    Default Little modding attempt frustated

    Hallo everyone,
    I am new to SS and I am trying to modify some of its aspects.
    I am trying to allow the East Romans access to the caravan building on the provision that there is the hidden resource "silk_road".
    Historically, as far as I know, the silk road ended in Constantinople. I have added the silk_road hidden resource in that province and added the faction "greeks" in the factions allowed to have the caravan line of buildings. Trebizond province has silk_road by default in the SSv6.4 mod and the building line appears as intended. It does not appear in Constantinople.
    What am I doing wrong?

    You need to delete the map.rwm file.

    How will it work without the map then?

    Did you add the hidden resource to the list in the EDB?

    Yes, it works as intended.

    Though, now I am having a problem locating the .tga files of some other buildings, for instance the Romans did build horse race tracks (hippodromes) in their biggest cities since they abolished gladiator "games". The "Bread and Circuses" domestic policy had a long life.

    It is a bit of a convoluted way to find them.
    Ideally you have will the TXT version of the data\text\export_buildings file
    In there search for the name of the building
    Check the name of the building in between the brackets on the left, eg {alchemists_lab_middle_eastern} Alchemist's Lab
    Search for the pic in the ...\data\ui\northern_european\buildings folder, that would be the default folder. The pics name will be #northern_european_alchemists_lab.tga - this is the icon for the buildings present in the UI. A second pic with the _constructed ending is the one for the announcement when ti si build and for the info pic.
    You will find a third pic with the same name as the first one in the subdirectory named construction - this is the icon for the building browser.
    If your building is faction specific, yo might also have to search the other culture folders ...\data\ui\[culture_name]\buildings
