Rome Total War Gold Edition - Announced

During my christmas vacation something terrible happened. I noticed that somehow a big crack had appeared in my cd and I wasn't able to play normal RTW(only BI). I sent the cd back to the company I bought it from and they said that they couldn't give me my money back but I got the money on a credit note. I then tried to order a new RTW CD, but apparently, RTW had expired and the only thing I could order was Rome Total War Gold Edition.

Today the Rome Total War Gold Edition CD plopped into my mailbox.

When I tried to play RTW or BI, I got the error message saying that I had to insert the correct CD, i.e. I had to uninstall RTW and BI and then install Rome Total War Gold Edition. I couldn't play my old installs on the new CD. I Un-installed the normal BI and RTW and installed RTW Gold, but RTW Gold is automatically patched to 1.5 and 1.6 meaning I cant install and play any of the awesome mods for 1.2 like RTR 6 Gold and SPQR 5.0.

I want to be able to play all those awesome mods for RTW 1.2 ...

What to do?

Try and get the original off Ebay or Amazon.

I think it's RTW and BI together patched to 1.5 and 1.6. Maybe some extras? Don't know for certain.

I have it and I can say it is. No extra's. Well I haven't found any anyway
And I'm havind the same problem as the TS. Can't play any mod (yet) because of the 1.5/1.6 install :'(
