Whats the role of Servants of Sauron?

What exactly do those guys do??? I see a few of em around the map and they dont do anything.

I believe they act like vanilla inquisitors.

They are like the vanilla inquisitors. They kill followers of Sauron that are not obedient enough (did not happen very often to me though).

Why get rid of them, since they do not do much damage anyway?
I'd say they add to the feeling ^^

Open descr_campaign_db and find the line "max_inquisitors" and change it to 0. Then save and start a new campaign. I have NOT playtested this, so it might cause a CTD, I have no idea. But this WILL stop SoSes from spawning.

They also spread Melkor-faith I think, like inquisitors did. Not as good as priests did, in MTW2, but still they do spread faith slowly.
