Default a little help for the technilogically impared

heh, i'm looking through all the threads and how to install and use this mod but it may as well be written in chinese or something because i'm a bit thick with computers.
if anyone could offer a simple worded step by step on how i can play this or links for all the patches i need to download and where to put 'em/ what to do with them i would be forever thankful

If you have the game itself (Medieval II) patched to at least 1.3. there are only two steps:
    1) Download
    2) Install

Installation thread. Not sure what you don't understand. It's really simple.

    It is, but it's not....

Current version is 2.02. So ignore all the 3.0 threads and the rest.

You apparently must also mind this warning if you use Vista, windows 7, or steam.

!!ATTENTION WINDOWS VISTA AND WINDOWS 7 USERS!!

To spare yourself the trouble - install M2TW and any mods outside Program Files directory!

    !!ATTENTION STEAM USERS!!

First open up the game and look at the corner of the screen (in the main menu) - you'll see which version you have currently installed. Tell us the number.

You need to patch up your game.
    http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/p...war/patch.html

You need to download and install 1.2 and then 1.3.

Patching takes quite some time, just so you know.

Broken Crescent all the way, mate.

As for the other steps, you simply dl the mod and install it in your M2 folder. After that you launch it from the desktop icon.

    Yes, it does.

To open the torrent file, you need a torrent client, e.g. utorrent. You have to download the client, launch it (you don't even have to install it, when it ask you whether to install click "no"). Then, in launched utorrent you have to open that Broken Crescent torrent file - and wait until it downloads. BC is circa 850MB big, so it can take a while.

So, you have to download BC first; now you have only BC torrent file downloaded, which is not the mod, it's only a file that allows you to download the mod via P2P network.
