    Icon4 Campaigns Crashing To Desktop-RTW

    Since I had to restore my Mac laptop and reinstall RTW, RTW keeps crashing whenever I try to start a campaign or load a saved campaign. Custom, Quick and Historical Battles still work, but I get a 'Provincial Campaign' selection underneath 'Quick Battle' in 'Single Player'. There are, however, no choices for me to choose under 'Provincial Campaign'. When I try to start/load a campaign, the loading bar almost reaches the end, but then RTW crashes and I return to my desktop. From Console the problem apparently is something to do with a missing Spanish Diplomat model (it kinda said that there was something missing, and that thing was "data/ui" and then some more folders until a file that had "diplomat" and "Spain" in it's name)
    but unfortunately I couldn't get a good look at it because console was poured thousands of messages in.

    The only files I've modded in RTW are the campaign_descr file and the descr_strat file, so I could make all factions playable
    Please Help!!! I miss my Greek, British, Thracian, Julii and Pontic campaigns

    Oh, and the other Console messages I get related to RTW say "Warning: Language 'en_HK' was not found, retrying without country name..."
    Followed by "BuildStripifyInfo: > 2 triangles on an edge... uncertain consequences" a lot of times before saying
    "err:SDL:SDL_DoQuit(): destroying mutex"

    Anyone capable of explaining these messages? (I don't see why the first message is RTW related, but I'm in Hong Kong, and the abbreviation for Hong Kong is 'HK')

    Here is a screenshot of how far the loading bar gets while starting/loading a campaign)

    I think that means you're probably not having all necessary files installed, so you're gonna to reinstall Rome TW again. Just remove it and delete the game folder once it's removed from your OS.
    I don't know if you're needed to reboot your computer or not so just do that.

    My somewhat uneducated guess is that you've installed a patch that doesn't work with your version of R:TW. It's the "Warning: Language 'en_HK' was not found, retrying without country name" error that makes me think you've patched using an incompatible patch for your game. Where did you get the patch and are you sure it's the same patch as you used before? My guess is a language pack isn't installed properly.

    Is the version of RTW an official copy of the game or is it some sort of copy? What version does this install as? The version number is shown in-game on the top right hand side of the options menu.

    Like I said in the first post, Version 1.3. Yes, it is an official copy of the game, but the problem's been fixed anyways (Hooray!)

    That worked, thanks (I suppose the problem fixed itself when I reinstalled it)

    Thanks for trying to help everyone!
