    General speed of units in
    descr_battle_map_movement_modifiers
    in the EDU
    move_speed_mod 0.95
    these affect the speed of units.Most lightcav have it at one or .95.Heavy cav are significantly slower.

    No, I find the horse speeds quite good .. horses are pretty fast beasts.

    The infantry's ability to run fast over long distances in full armour annoys me a bit though.

    The game development business is one of bottomless greed, pitiless cruelty, venal treachery, rampant competition, low politics and boundless personal ambition. New game series are rising, and others are starting their long slide into obscurity and defeat.

    yes, i hate how a group of armoured foot knights can sprint to the other side of a battlefield when fleeing.

    and when pikemen flee carrying their pikes

    I think it's a huge improvement. In vanilla and earlier versions of this mod, light cavalry was absolutely useless if the opponent had ranged cavalry. Now you can actually use light cavalry to chase down and kill missile cav, etc.

    Plus archers used to be fast enough to break cavalry charges just by running away. Now they're too slow to do that and will get destroyed if they stay out in the open for long.

    @Ungreatness
    Light cavalry in vanilla also was capable in catching mounted archers.

    Really? Whenever I played vanilla my light cav could never catch mounted archers with the exceptions of a couple of units, and that was about it. That was actually one of the things I was hoping would be fixed in the update, because now light cav serves a purpose other than chasing down routing units.

    I think the horse speed is fine.. what bothers me is that infantry (especially light onces) run way too slow, and stamina seem to last too long (while also taking too long to recover). this becomes extremely apparent if you play Roma Surrectum and SS at the same time, most SS infantries feel like they're moon walking compare to the Roma Surrectum light infantries
