    Default Egypt short campaign

Wich is the proper strategy in order to defeat Turkey and Moors and still survive the Mongols invasion?

Against two factions not really little things.
The menace of an unstoppable invasion forward.

So, first answer coming to my mind is to do all the job as quick as you can, finishing all at around 150 turns before the ends of time stipulated by victory conditions. Then, leave settlements of mid-east where Mongols suppose to arrive and conquer alone, and by dividing your forces, sending armies to take rebels settlements near turkish and moor ones.
If Mongols arrive before your victory, continue your campaign holding on, by that time you should be enough rich and powerful to defeat some Mongols stacks.

Personally, I've found victory over Mongols very possible when they had took a couple of settlements so their main strenght (wich is five or seven full stack armies attacking together) have gone.

    Your opinions, experiences, advices please.

(Sorry for my bad english, I hope it'll be understandable in spite of)

i really wouldnt want to concetrate on those 2 while handleing the mongols,

from turns 1-90(when mongols come) call jihads on the settlements from cairo to antioch, and take all the ones to baghadad, also be ready for the crusades, and also you should take cyprus, rhodes/ all the greek island settelements, and build up and prepare for the mongols, after the mongols you can betray the turks

You're right, I've just forgotten Rhodes, property of rebels, right in front of turkish dominions. But I think I shouldn't try to take Cyprus, I assume it would be convenient an alliance with Byzantine Empire against Turkey, and that island belongs to them.

About Jihads the thing is you can not be sure the other islamic factions will answer the call, or maybe it's just I have never called one, I don't know how they work. My campaign as Moors was too fast, not easy but nicely fast, I had no time to think about Jihad, though I had enough faith.

just be quick with the turkish war so you can concentrate on high grade units and ballista towers for the mongols

Edit: I apparently don't even fully read titles... ignore me. I'll leave my response incase you can find something of use in it though.

    Migrate?

I always migrate with Egypt/Turks/Russia, purely because I don't want to have to destroy the Mongols and Timurids because I like the challenge the pose, and I don't want them gone.

However, if you must stay... meh, wipe the Turks out, ally with the Moors because the only value their land holds for you is as a fallback position, and really, if you're going to fall back without completely giving up the fight, it should be through Byzantine lands.
Jihad Constantinople very early on (rip out the heart of the Byzantines) then concentrate on the rebel settlements and the Turks. Then if you have time before the Mongol invasion, take the rest of the Byzantine settlements, from then on your priorities should be fighting the Mongols/Timurids and secondly, taking Italy by sea.

i wouldnt go too far into byzantine area, it can result in war with cathoics such as hungray ,venice, sicily, which can result in the chance of crusades called against you risen extremely high

Mongols appeared at 68-69 turn, I started over because Denmark was closed to victory.

Now I'm owning twelve regions, I'm in war with Moors, Turkey and Byzantine Empire. Maybe I won't be able to hold Jerusalem or Baghdad and settlements around, but I will survive and I'll continue my expansion. I got Tumbuktu and Rhodes, so I'm deployed in both fronts... and I have mastered mountain guerrilla, wich is in my opinion, with troops properly trained and experienced and well-armored, the way to stop the Mongols, not to defeat them.

Spearmen on bridges mate, the best way to go. Another option would be to take over the entire world before the Mongols turn up, then your entire army can concentrate on killing them.

Wait, short campaign? How the hell did you not meet the victory conditions before turn 68?

    That's the question

In fact I've decided to migrate in case Mongols attack my factions because surely I won't survive them. Now again I'm waiting for them, and this is the third campaign I'm trying to play as Egypt.

Spearmen on bridges, of course, maybe six archers units too and a couple of heavy artillery units. But remember, if you rule on high ground, when enemy arrives close to you, all units are exhausted and next to be broken. Near damasco there's a kind of kanyon. So I waited up there, enemy army only could advance in line under hundred of arrows, nor even mongols horse heavy archers could reach my position. Four mongols armies surrounded me, and I only had spearmen and archers militia plus my general. It was heroic victory (and of course I won because I only play time limit battles).
Still, high ground it's not enough. In my opinion, the main strenght of Mongols armies lay in their attack in mass formations, so you may defeat one army, next turn back up army will replace the defeated, and over and over.

Then you have to isolate them. Find a delayed or lonely mongol army, stand in the red zone and step backward (in campaign map), fix it on the mountains. It would be great if Damasco (for instance) was yours in order to provide yourself new troops and sending back the units in number decresed to be retrained, I guess AI won't move Mongols to siege Damasco and cut all your communications. That's how I done the last time, and I feel so eager to face them again.:sparta:

    Victory!

I had to resign three settlements in the hands of Rebels due civil disorders and my greed. Mongols destroyed Turkey and I destroyed Moors, it's funny because I've never went to war with Turkey. So Mongols were very useful this time. Most important thing I'm not afraid of Mongols anymore, they are like any faction else once they find a home in Antioch. War with them is very expensive but now I'm extremely rich and they pay ransom very well. By the way I have a question for you:

do they retrain their troops withs losses?

Well, because of my crappy processor the game became slow and I don't feel like playing along
