    Default Road to DarthMod_7.0.Post comments, ideas, your wish list playing up to now with 6.9

    Ok, since I got the decision to continue modding the game I notify you that soon I will upload DarthMod_6.8.
    It will contain:
    -1.5 combatibility
    -all units of DarthMod_6.0
    -The same or better gameplay(including all new aspects of the new engine of 1.5)
    -New formations for 1.5

    It will not contain new map but this will change in the future.
    Of course the enhancements you wish to be included (such as mini mods you know) will be posted here to help me enhance it more.

    85% test and insertion of new gameplay technics
    90%Foot missile bug fix (when AI defence)=It has to do with formation commands after all so when I upload you will see for yourselves.No talking until then. (I was disarrayed by posts to find solution to the problem)

    Here are screenshots of:

    -Roman manipular Formation in full deployment.
    Beautiful isn't it? And powerful for AI too.

    -Greek-Theban Formation.

    The formation uses historic greek strategy and indeed it has an impact...
    Watch how powerful charges this formation uses. I have depleted all my javelin ammo with minimal casualties for greece due to the overlapping shields, mass and armour.

    The continuous pushing of hoplites destroyed Roman center (My human army)

    Also see another picture of effective AI formation for pontus.(Watch how well is deployed the phalanx and the flanks protected while cavalry predates from behind)

    And a nice picture to see the graphics (Romans must maintain cohesion to withstand Armenian bow fire!)

    I would like someone to do this. Yes!
    I had a greek friend maybe I contact him.
    For the time being unit cards remain the same and target was to at least be specific and not messing units together.
    i have fixed them almost all by myself with very little workhour for each.
    The main purpose of the mod is gameplay.
    If I had eager co-teammers all these could be better.
    But when too many gather, they become a crowd uneasy to control.
    Right now the job is done really quick and easy by myself and my free time

    Lookig really good, glad to see AI more as 1 army in stead of splting up and then easly flanked by my cavalry...

    I will try to end this in less than a week. Also will need volunteer hosters of the file. (About 55MB compressed)

    Default Problems with AI

    Hi, I use DF 6.9 with quick patch, but AI seems to perform very badly.

    What I find most troublesome is it's inability to use phalanx based unit properly. Two lines of units are may be realistic (and may be not), but it makes flanking very, very easy. They also don't charge at once, but some units do and some just wait. Plus a suicidal general (chasing my archers on this picture, there you also see the length of my line of troops and the enemy:



    On this picture enemy let me encircle him very easily, he's not responding to my moves:



    This one is also rich, poor phalangites just stay where they are, they even don't care about turning to face my eastern infantry. Which proves to be very, very efficient, btw. But has no hands and legs. I'm trying to find the culprit texture (or model?) and remove it.



    Well, I guess it just CA's bad work.

    I can host it for you on my website. Great looking mod there Darth! Somehow you need to transfer your files to me, if you can upload it somewhere temporarly so i get the chance to download and upload it to my host server.
