How do you launch the Stainless Steel? Everytime I want to play I insert the disc and then I have to look for the launch icon at the game directory to start MTW2.

I'm sure there's a better way, or if the would discard that SecuROM thingy and simply doubleclick on the icon to launch MTW2 like I do with my other games.

what is stopping the stainless steel shortcut from working, provided the kingdoms cd is in the drive?
we cant help you with any copy protection issues asides from possibly mentioning buying off steam or similar if you want a dvd-less install. any such discussion is prohibited.

Well, as soon as I double click on the icon I get the MTW2 vanilla splash screen and then a error messege then CTD. I have to go all the wat to the SEGA directory, into the mods folder and double-click on the icon there to launch.

Yes, but where do you have the launch.exe??? Do you have to go all the way to the SEGA directory to launch??

See, what I'm doing is, I place a shortcut on the start menu like I do with all my other games and try to launch from there but when I do I get the vanilla splash screen and then CTD.

The launcher can be located in Sega/MTW2/Mods/6.3/Launcher.

It is a picture of a Knight, then right click, select Create Shortcut and voila, you have one on your desktop
