    Default AI never surrenders

This mod is incredibly fun to play, but I've been fighting a war against Carthage for many turns now as the Arverni and kicking their ass all the way. I'm in Africa and want some peace and quiet to develop my cities but they just refuse to surrender. Now the Romans are invading me for no reason. Why all our mutual allies stuck with these backstabbers is beyond me. But has anyone else had trouble convincing the AI to surrender?

Hardcoded AI, nothing RS can do about it. :[

Yeah that's annoying. I use the ''force diplomacy'' that is included in RSII to make my enemy accept my offer when I am convinced that they would realistically do so. The danger is to be tempted to reduce the number of your enemies in a game that is already quite easy. But that's your call anyway.

Sometimes it helps to stop at a certain province that is a bottleneck and leave one army blocking access to your territory; i.e. Gadir or Tingis.
