Default Can't get rid of peasant unit card

    Hello,

I added two new units. I'm using the same unit card for both. For one of the units, the cards show up fine in game. For the other one, I only get the peasant card.

Both units work fine in game combat.

I double checked, triple checked, and than checked again that I labelled my unit cards .tga's correctly for the unit that isn't showing up (same as dictionary). Then I had two friends check. Nothing wrong there. Anything else it might be?

I've been playing it for a couple of hours with no luck.

The two units both have unique names. I've tried it with both of them, and with each individually and that same unit card still won't show for that unit. The unit that won't show is infantry, while the one that will is cavalry. Although I doubt that makes a difference.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If it has a unique name than it's probably something wrong with your unit descriptions. I would need to see the files to be sure. The dictionary line must match the unit card names.

This tutorial will tell you all you need to know on adding new units, cards and skins.

Thanks for the reply Patwest. I've looked over the tutorial but still can't find where I went wrong.

I'll copy and paste my info here and if anyone has a couple of minutes please take a look and see if you can find where I screwed up. Not including the building data because I don't think it's relevant. Like I said, the unit shows up in game including description, are recruitable, and fight fine in battle. It's just the unit cards I'm having difficulty with.

I've included a .txt file with the copy and pasted data if you'd prefer to look at that. I've also included a word doc in the zip file with screen shots of my cards and what they're labelled.

BTW, I have Total Realism loaded, not sure if that makes a difference (I know, I know, using rtr and than adding Amazons...) Can't imagine that it does, especially since my other self created unit shows up fine.

I know this may sound stupid but maybe you acidentally added a space to the end of your unit card name which may throw the game off. However if both new units use the exact same unit card then it may be easier to copy and paste it so there are two copies so each one has a separate unit card as the game may be getting confused
    Rock!?!?!

Thanks for the suggestion Dr Fox. I've double checked to make sure I didn't have a space at the end of my unit card, and I tried using a seperate generic unit card for the unit that isn't working. Still only shows up as a peasant in game.

Is there anyway to replace the default peasant picture with my picture? Anyone know what the default .tga is for that? I wouldn't mind doing that if possible.

I added two more units... one cavalry, one infantry. Just trying to get a feel for adding units and see if I could figure out where I screwed up by doing it again. Once again the cavalry unit's card shows up fine, while the infantry units card is the peasant. Weird. Both units work fine in game.

There isn't any kind of difference between cavalry and infantry that should affect the cards is there?

I can't open that document zip so I don't know whats in there. All your text entries look good.
