Dissapearing Save files...

i posted a thread in the main forums asking how to transfer my saved campaign from one computer to another, but then i found out that i couldn't even find the save files.
My 0-turn Rome campaign doesn't seem to exist. When i load RSII i fire up my campaign and it works perfectly fine. but, there is only a file called data in the Play_Rome folder, and i've searched all over and there doesn't seem to be any such thing as a saved game on RSII. I'm using Vista with UAC on.
can anyone help me as to find where it is?

i have the save and preferences folders at C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\saves and C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\preferences, not in the Play_X folders. nothing is in the save folders.

If you are using Vista with UAC turned on there is a good chance that your saves are in the 'virtual store' or 'appdata' area.

It will be something like

c:\users\"account name"\AppData\Roaming\

Once you get to 'Roaming' the sub folder will either be 'Activision' or 'The Creative Assembly'.....

The folder will be a hidden folder so you need to change your folder options to no longer be 'hide hidden files, folders and drives'.

Strange - not finding the files.

As you've stated they are clearly present as you can load them up. It's just a matter of finding them.

The next thing to try is a 'search' on your system for one of your saved files.

If you call them something unique (not save.sav) it should make them easier to find.

now thats a slap in my face and a rather ugly one... I wonder what your motivation is/was ? I suggsted to check the entire AppData folder and not only certain folders in it so you have no whatsoever right/reason to scold me for not contributing anything let alone deleting my post only because you disliked it...for whatever reason,only you will know

I was one of the few really trying to help Asterix with this and the so called "shameless plug" was more to be understand as a joke as the loss of an advanced savegame is something really frustrating.
