    Default General questions about the campaing.

    Well i was wondering, i just had the gunpowder event, and nothing happened nothing changed, i didnt got gunpowder units, i use 6.4

    Also i have cheated in order to sea if i will have new units cause of this gunpowder glitch , i have process_cq and build all of the barracks archery ranges stables etc, i stuck with a few certain units, but i havent got anything else, i dont even have longbowmen , halbediers , billmen , nothing.

    I play the late era campaign and iam in the 30th turn or something, is something wrong or the units are going to be automatically unlocked in the future?

    It was just notice about gunpowder being discovered. Still you can not recruit gun units.
    When using RR/RC units are being allowed to recruit only in appropriate time frame.

    Link I provided lists all events for Early Campaign in SS 6.3 but I suppose list is pretty much same

    So all the units that are not yet available will be in the future i suppose?

    Yes they will be, if they are in your faction pool (means if your faction is allowed to recruit them in first place).

    To find out for certain, you can try this:

    1: Look in your ...\Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data\export_descr_unit.txt file, and search for your faction name. That'll show you all units available for them. For instance, England entry Yeoman Archers:

    Then go to the ...\Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data\export_descr_buildings.txt, and searcg for "Yeoman Archers"
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 

    recruit_pool "Yeoman Archers" 1 0.84 3 0 requires factions { england, } and event_counter FULL_PLATE_ARMOR 1


    This tells us that this entry of Yeoman Archers require the event FULL_PLATE_ARMOR before being available.

    Finally, go to ...\Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\descr_events.txt and search for FULL_PLATE_ARMOR
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 


    event historic FULL_PLATE_ARMOR
    date 280 300

    This tells us that the Full plate armor event happens somewhere between 280 and 300 years into the campaign. (This is from the Early Campaign)


    So, after 280-300 years into the Early Campaign, the English will be able to recruit Yeoman Archers.
