NTW only using 15% CPU? I REQUIRE MORE!!!

for whatever reason NTW is only using about 15% of my CPU on average. how do i get more? any tricks and tips?

ASUS G73-JH laptop
intel core i7 720QM 1.73GHz quad core
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 1GB
6GB RAM
windows 7 64 bit

More power you say?


Start the task manager, click on processes, select NTW.EXE, set priority to above normal.

Don't try high or real time else the I/O devices will lag.

(Real Time is a no no)

15% CPU use is very good

As you can see from my results, the GPU is my weakest link running in dx9 sm3.

which windows 7 64 bit edition are you running?, i might whip up a gamers reg file if you need one?

One Custom reg, unzip and merge the file. right click - Merge

(still leaves firewire enabled and other security programs)

should give you a little extra power to games.

to go back to a semi bloated o/s, just do a system restore.

it removes any unwanted service you don't need, and sets up most of services to manual.

default win7 over 60 processes.

this 48ish on bootup.
