trying to run napolean on a laptop with these specs

Acer 15" NotebookIntel Core i5-460m 2.53GHz CPU
Bluray ROM + DVD Super Multi
Wireless 802.11 B/G/N
15 Inch Screen
4 GB RAM
640 GB HDD
Win 7 Home Premium
WIFI
Webcam
nVidia Geforce Gt 420 With 1GB Dedicated Graphics

locks up the pc when it is on the first splash screen/copyright. Cant alt-tab,cntrl-alt-dlt. Patched pc, upto date nvidia drivers and Dx, ran Dxdiag all is fine, changed power settings for performance, adjusted system settings to performance, switched off anti virus that also didnt work.
Any help would be appreciated.
