The Umbarians were people a mix between Numenoreon and Haradrim. During the Kin Strife the Umbar Nobles stired a large uprising of nobles, corsairs, and peasents.


The war started during the Second War of the Kin Strife when the Umbarian Nobility sought to seperate from Gondor. With many of Gondors armies away in the north Umbar's forces won several major victories. The remaining Gondorian armies along the Harnen comissioned Harondor and Harnen armies to fight this rebelion. Even though the Harnen tribes were expert horsemen they fell to the blades of Umbar.


Out of the bloody war a Umbar noble and general named Tarondor rose to power among the Umbar nobility. After wining the victory of the Battle of the Harnen Banks it propelled him to power amung the nobles.


On land the Umbar armies win many against and at sea the feard Corsairs of Umbar destroyed the last Gondor fleets that could fight.


With the arrival of the Castmiri the Umbar armies were bolstered and able to finish the war. They layed siege to Umbar the last true stronghold of Gondor in the region. The bloody siege was fought for many days and many died. After a week of battle the Umbarian armies broke through the defences on the sea walls. Then liberated the city from Gondorian rule.


The forces of Umbar could not be stopped with the Gondorian fleet so severly crippled. Umbar forces won several more decisive battles before FGondor lost the war. Umbar would remain indapendent until after Sourons final fall when they joined the Reunited Kingdom as an autonomus state.
