Cant install RTW GOLD

Ok i bought the CD version of Rome,alexander and BI a long time ago and modded them constantl and was starting my own mod then gave up. Now i bought the GOLD edition DVD and i cant install because its says that there is another version of Rome on my PC i unistalled it and still wont work but now the problem is there is files from the old rome that i cant delete AT ALL. Someone help

Did you uninstall it using RTW's uninstaller?

Did you use a registry cleaner afterwards?

Did you also remember to remove the roaming-files that contains the saves, all files in the AppData folders (if you are using Vista, those are in the same directive, under LocalLow.
You said you used mods; I remember then, that most mods creates a second directive, that are not necessarily placed in the same folders as the RTW install. If they are not, find them and delete them too.
You can not delete at all.....It might be because the files are in use, like in your new install. I suggest, remove the new install through Programs and Settings, then hunting down all rome or mod related files manually. It that does not work, it is the hard way only. Copy-Paste-Save or Delete, untill all unvanted files has gone and only those you want to keep is left.
