technical MP/achievements questions.

1) started a MP campaign with someone who might finish this time. it's italy campaign, and i'm austria. now the victory conditions say: 12 regions, including nice and karinthia. but what happens if i defeat him before i have 12 provinces?

2) i got the medal of unrelenting storm (win a match spent half as many funds as your opponent). how did i get this? it was just a campaign battle (an ambush), where i had by far more men. so how did i got it?

1. It will be a draw.
2. Maybe the opposition army had a lot of elite units.....

ah come on, that's stupid. so i have to get other provinces from other factions (who are all allied to each other) first?

To win, I believe you have to satisfy all of the victory conditions.
So like you need both:
-12 regions
-Nice and Karinthia
In order to win.

I played an epic Egypt campaign (my first one ever) several months ago, won by a decent margin in terms of regions but I only had 4/5 of the Victory Condition regions, so it was a draw, because event though I wiped out all of my enemy's forces, another faction had the last Victory Condition region.
Noobie I know, but ah well, it was a beautiful game.

You will usually end up invading an ally lol, its often that way. In Europe I allied with and got trade agreements with 75% of factions, and the only enemy at war was France at the end of two turns, but the downside was I had to keep them all happy, and go to war with them in the end.

it's just so lame cause all the italian factions are in some way allied to each other. and in the meantime you have to deal with france...

byt still, better to know before.Guess betraying sardinia is the best way to get it...

Weird game mechanic in campaign/drop in battles. Having napoleon as a general counts for maybe 5000 funds or so.

something i forgot to ask: i joined an unranked game but got kicked out (3 times). ok fair enough, but when i wanted to ask why, it seems the chatbox in the room is unclickable?

Oh just forget them and move on, it happens to the best, the worst, just about damn anybody has been kicked out of games at some point

You will win if he is destroyed or you furfill the victory goals (and to opponent will still be alive but will loose)

you win, just won a MP campaign as austria with 9 regions. damn playing as france must be hard. every italian city state offered me money for an alliance

Must have been some fuc*ed up glitch then, because I didn't get a win recorded after completely defeating my enemy, and the only objective I hadn't fulfilled was the regions held (special)

If i'm correctly, for the achievement
"Other player's faction is last to die"


you basicly need to conquer the whole map between the two of you, and then one has to kill the other, no?

I have all the medals. That was the last one to get. And its so hard to get it. I got it in Egypt but Gb is really strong on Cyprus and Beduins are stronger than they look.

Isn't MP egypt campaign best to do this? offcours you need to get rid of the british (or aren't there any englishmen on cyprus in MP?)

British, Mamelukes and Bedouin
Egypt campaign looks simplest, but remember that, if you start with France, it will take a long time to kill off the Bedouin due to desert fatigue.
Mamelukes are a lot stronger than Bedouin but easier to kill off as you go through the campaign.
The British are hard to kill
Its probably your best bet tbh

Mameluks are stronger than Mameluks? so they are infinitly strong? mameluks<mameluks<mameluks<....... infinity

Yeah i know you got the bedoiun and mameluks, but since the british are sitting on their island, it's hard to get rid of them

It could be achievable in Europe too, because you won't suffer from fatigue and everywhere is easily accessible, but you will need to play a patient game and build up quite a few very strong armies.
Financially supporting them is such an issue until you fully establish your research and buildings o.O
