Default Spiffington for Civitate (Patron: Tacticalwithdrawal)

    folks,

another Civitate proposal from moi (posting myself this time, hope the poll works ).

    Siffington paragraph:

If I, Spiffington (Spiff for short..), were granted the status of ‘Civitate’ of the ‘Total War Centre Forums’, under the patronage of Tacticalwithdrawal - Quaestor of the Total War Centre Forums - I would agree to abide by what I believe, in my own words, to be the three most important rules as outlined below:

    1) Act in the manner outlined in the TWC Constitution for this rank.
    2) Treat other members regardless of rank with the utmost respect.
    3) Continue to contribute to the forum in the ways in which I am most able.

Additionaly I would offer my general computer literacy to the forum and its users, in particular my knowledge of image manipulation for the ‘Picture of the Day’ sub-forum, which I continually advertise for in my signature, as well as an understanding of software and hardware troubleshooting, which may be of use in ‘The Basement’ sub-forum.
    my paragraph:

I first came across Spiff in the Picture Dei thread where he gave me a lot of help. I liked his style (I meet far too many 'techies' in my line of work who treat non-technical people as idiots) and started checking the rest of his posts. All were of a high standard so tried to persuade him to become a Civitate (this was last year some time). He refused as he didn't want to become one until he fully understood what the site was about and what being a Civitate meant. Since then I know a lot of people have tried to persuade him and finaly he has made up his mind.

I think his decision process shows a lot of character, firstly he didn't just jump at the 'flashy' title, he wanted to wait until he understood it all. Secondly he had the decency to come back to me as the person who first offered him Civitate sponsorship.

I think he will be a really good asset for TWC and hope others do as well.

Edit - hmm, I thought I had set the poll to being a public one Can somebody fix it for me please?
