    Default Bushido

Hello! I was quite surprised not to find any thread on Bushido-related philosophical suggestions/concepts/etc now that the TW: Shogun 2 is so close by. I'll just say that I'm quite interested in Bushido as I've been training karate for two and a half years now.
Philosophy has always been one of my interests (at least intellectual philosophy, that doesn't claim much about visible energies or "this is how the entire world is made up!" for most part) and as I got more and more into karate I started reading some bushido-litterature such as Go Rin No Sho and Bushido Shoshinshu. I also found "Living the Martial way" an enjoyable read.
And to be clear: any philosophies dealing with martial arts is welcome, as Bushido is simply put the Way of the warrior, IMHO despite origin.

One concept I embrace is that of Mushin, I try getting into this mode regularly since it really helps to clear the mind and make you prepared for anything. Do you have a favorite concept of your own?

Do you have a specific aspect we are inclined to follow that interests you or do you want to spring a discussion with a nature more general about the bushido?
    Please be more specific.

Oh sorry you're right, I was being a bit fuzzy. Philosophical concepts/ideas/etc related to martial arts. The way I see it, all philosophy regarding martial arts is Bushido.

Edit: Perhaps this should be moves to the Philosophy section, I didn't see that earlier.

Hmm, no, Bushido has its political concept so it is not just a martial art philosophy. Overall, Chiang Kai-Shei had once mentioned that Bushido is a twisted form of Confucianism which focus on only warrior hood and how warriors should behave in politic, and that is an accurate summary about Bushido.
