Hello! I was quite surprised not to find any thread on Bushido-related philosophical suggestions/concepts/etc now that the TW: Shogun 2 is so close by. I'll just say that I'm quite interested in Bushido as I've been training karate for two and a half years now.
Philosophy has always been one of my interests (at least intellectual philosophy, that doesn't claim much about visible energies or "this is how the entire world is made up!" for most part) and as I got more and more into karate I started reading some bushido-litterature such as Go Rin No Sho and Bushido Shoshinshu. I also found "Living the Martial way" an enjoyable read.
And to be clear: any philosophies dealing with martial arts is welcome, as Bushido is simply put the Way of the warrior, IMHO despite origin.
One concept I embrace is that of Mushin, I try getting into this mode regularly since it really helps to clear the mind and make you prepared for anything. Do you have a favorite concept of your own?
