Realistic diplomacy fail
I've noticed, playing RTR platinum, that something needs to be done about diplomacy. I'm aware the problem's probably been solved in RTR VII, but it's really annoying that I'm warring with everyone around me and all of them are allies regardless of the prejudices they would have held. I mean it's so wrong it's parallel with incest. How does the AI diplomacy actually work? I'm assuming it boils down to a simple-ish algorithm and it's not that they have actual intelligence.
Just a wonderment is it possible to make it so that barbarian factions and 'civilised' factions don't ally? If so could Macedon be classed as barbarian, since that's how Greek authors seemed to view them? Same with Bactria and Parthia - since they, the Parthians, were technically just a new dynasty of the Persians and Herodotus referred to them as Barbarian. Finally, is there any way to make this so on RTR Platinum?

Re: Realistic diplomacy fail
