    Default Simple 2- or 4- Turn per Year Tweak for SS 6.4?

    Just coming back to M2 and really like what has been done with SS v6.4; however, one year per turn seems kind of wrong when it takes two years to build siege ladders, etc.

    Hoping there is something I missed. The mods I have noticed that would adjust this all seem to also do something else. Is there something around?

    Yep, it takes two turns to build siege gear and at one year per turn that is two years. Kinda silly

    Not really, the more men you have the more points you can spend.A ladder takes one turn.

    yes. only if you have like half a unit of spear militia will it take you 2 turns to build a ladder. they cost 15 build points.

    Half a unit of spearmen are like what, 50 men? Taking two years to build 4 ladders ?

    I also would like an answer to this question (the one the thread is about) i always change it to 2TPY but after to wipe my computer and reinstalling SS from 6.3 to 6.4 ive found making lttle tweaks to the Strat.txt file very annoying and getting CTM or the alterations not actually taking any affect. Is there a simple way to cahnge to 2TPY without having to put all these gubbins on aswell? Asterix, i usually just alter the desc_strat.txt file to the turn time 0.5 but ive been having problems with this atm for some reason so dont try that yet : P

    P.S. the seige equipment thing ive always thought was a tad silly, as it takes as you say, an army a year or even 2 years to make a ram and two ladders and even with big armies, how slow are these men to have to take 2 years seiging a town and constructing basic wooden ladders etc?! But it works with the game, so just ignore that bit. You cant have an army with realistic seige stuff for seiging in a year, theyd have numerous ladders. ( im guesing they could build a ladder like they have in about a day or 2)

    All you need to do is to remove Ageing Script from campaign_script.txt file.
    The file is placed in: data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
    Remove everything between G5 Looting Script Compact and Church Titles.
    Save the changes. Then start new game and voila! Enjoy 2TPY game

    Guess I will have to hold on this 'til my next campaign then

    I Did notice that my guys aged a TON faster than in vanilla, but isn't Vanilla supposed to be 2 years per turn?

    Or better, it seems to be two years per turn in the calendar, but characters seem to take two years to age one year. That always confused me.

    2TPY seems so boring to play, and it is. It takes so long to get to decent units.
