More than one Family tree per faction?

Im curious if anyone has tried making a second family tree for their faction and whether or not it works? If so, is there anything you need to do differently than when you would ordinarily mod the descr_strat?

hmm, Im able to get a new general at the head of the family tree... problem... it removes the other family tree, uh oh. Anyone been through this before?

the game will only let you have 1 family tree per faction and I bleieve this is hardcoded
