Folder/File Revert Help

I have simple yet complex problem: after my PC crashing while running a game, the game save file (unknown file type) has become corrupted. I need to retrieve an older version pronto. Is there any way to do this either to the folder or the file by reverting them back to and older date (the file which was corrupted had "File is ready for archive" checked)?

There are softwares that can retrieve deleted files save games are probably hard deleted so you can retrieve them. Check the format of the file it will .something and do a search with it.
