Default Newest version of TLR. ONE DOWNLOAD VERSION

ALTHOUGH 2.4.1 IS THE LATEST VERSION I RECOMMEND DOWNLOADING 2.0 AS IT IS BUG FREE.

Well here it is. No need to install anything else first.

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9A5N4PU4

and if that link breaks due to the mystic internet gnomes then:

    http://halfaids.com/r

Install instructions are inside and i've included the white UI fix, so hopefully that will work for you.

THIS IS VERSION 2.4.1 And therefore has the Independents bug. You've been warned!

You're med2 folder should look like this (I've highlighted the files and folders involved)

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

This is V2.0. It is not buggy therefore I recommend this version for now.

The only change is the mod now consumes 300 more MB on my backup folder
I can report later, just downloading now...

No its not a new version(still v2.4.1), its just an easy install. Instead of spending 3 days finding all the different parts you just use this one easy download

hmm, It's say in instal file :

Extract this archive to the root of your Medieval 2 install.
Say yes to all overwrites, IT WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR MED2 INSTALL.
but did I must do this step after all instal order before ???
and did this affect in my save games in TLR ??
because you know how many problems we have hwen we want play this mod ..

Actually this is my first and last mod in medeival total war 2 ...

I must have done something wrong. Do I move the entire folder in, or do I drag over all of the files in it. I messed up and I tried to start the game and just got a black screen with the spinning hourglass. I'm reinstalling the game and trying again.

This file right C:\\Programs\Sega\medieval 2\ Something like that, I'm trying to go from memory.

Can someone please explain exactly where I put which files? I hate to ask, but I have no previous experiences with mods.

well after you install 2.0 ( note this is all pressumably I haven't used this particular installation set)

what I find easiest if I'm not sure is,
extract them anywhere (- but be sure you know where they are- )
look in the folder patch folder, - you'll probably see a folder named the_long_road in this case combined with some other files.

now you want to select them all and -cut-
go to your M2TW directory and paste them so that the the_long_road folder you just cut overwrites the already existing one, keep saying "yes to all" ( he'll prompt you several times)

most common mistake I used to make (often happens accidently), pasting the the long road folder into the already existing one.
    it has to overwrite stuff!!
    thats it ^^

if you already have a 2.4.1 installed there is no point in installing this it adds no new features

No its just I've included the white UI fix, thats all that is in the data folder

You do not need to install version 2.0 first. This is an all in one download.

Your problem may be that you have windows vista or 7. If this is the case then you must install Med2 outside the C drive, so install it into your documents or desktop.

Then to install the mod just drop all the files and folders in the "TLR" folder into your med 2 folder and say yes to all overwrites. If you have a steam version of Med2 then there are steam registration files included. The install.txt file has all the intructions on how to install.

Nope, I have XP. Once again I'm sorry for wasting people's time with what are probably simple questions.

And some of those other threads unstickied. I'm having a horrible time trying to get this to work. 3 days searching for the right files is just barely an exaggeration. Also the file type of this download? Says I need to buy winzip? Ugh, I was torn between Eras and this but Eras required Kingdoms so I went with this but the frustration is so much I might as well go with Vanilla again.

Just drag and drop all the files inside the "TLR" folder into your Med2 folder and say yes to all overwrites, don't worry about them they are just a bug fix. Then use the long road bat file to run the mod. I am working on an installer so hopefully i'll have that up soon.

If you have the steam version of Med2 use the steam reistry files included.

    Hope that helps.
