Default How lower population growth globally ?

As title says,It's been only year 1220AD and some cities in campaign has already been Huge cities and I found that to be pretty annoying.I'd love to build farms etc but 3~5%pop increase for each turn is kinda crazy..

I've noticed this as well. Going along in my campaign, I suddenly had like 6 cities upgrade within a few rounds of each other. To me, its not too important in the bigger picture, but I also don't build farms because I don't want to increase pop.

OP since you are a new player... do you see all the late era units in the custom campaign? I can't see cannons or gunpowder units.

do you play with the HHB submod?

because i think they fixed it in there, i am having trouble keeping my castles in a + at all even in early campaign ;/

going with a whopping 0.5% now at turn 24

is this calculated per turn or per year BTW?
