Default Have I destroyed my Graphics card?

I'm having major problems trying to overclock my GPU (ATI HD 2900XT) I used msi afterburner to up the core clock by 10mhz and it crashed the visual display (which restarted) Tried to bring it up by 1mhz, it crashed again, Later when I went to start the shogun 2 demo I got green lines across my screen then it crashed (which its never done before) and I have had artifacts popping up now and then during normal usage any help or advice would be useful thanks

I used this guide on how to overclock the GPU: http://www.overclock.net/ati/633816-...r-ati-gpu.html

Core clock speed should be half the shaders clock speed.

    stock 275gt is 633/1404

Maximum oc if the shaders remain the same would be

702 core and 1404 shader. (thumps the 460 bandwidth to dust)
    ^^^With out a Volt mod.

To achieve even higher speeds on the core clock, i would need to increase the shader clock.

Memory speeds, well this all depends on the quality of the memory.

if your getting artifacts, you will need to town down the settings.
if they are stock settings and your still getting artifacts then the card is failing.

I dont think increasing 10MHZ from the default clock can burn a graphics card. Im not an expert at hardware but I use my graphics card (ati 4070x2) increased with something linke 80 MHZ above the default clock speed and never had any problem.

assuming its PCI-e(which unless its really really old it is) you can get any card you want, the limiting factors are your power supply and your budget
