So...annoying questions...

I just got Napoleon today, but I've played lots of TW games before, (actually just completed M2TW campaign as Denmark yesterday!).

Anyways, the main reason I got Napoleon was for the multiplayer campaign, but I've been waiting in the lobby for ages and haven't come across any games to join. So, am I doing it wrong or is it just a case that I have to join a clan or something?

Also, my steam account name is rinzler1, so if anyone wants to add me and kick my ass in a campaign, I'm game, ("The only way to get smarter is by playing a smarter opponent" they say!).

I'm sure, Nick,Dave, Tyler, Terminator, or others would be more then happy to join.

I'm not a campaign player. My knowledge on macro management is kinda dull....

You could try hosting your own campaign and waiting for others, inviting any friends you have on your friends list. Edit your post to let people know what timezone your in (e.g gmt) in case anyone on this forum takes you up on the offer.

you have to arrange to play with a partner. people don't just join random campaign games.

Because most people (if not in a clan) will only play for a short period of time and/or quit whenever things look bad for them.

So how does a beginner go about joining a clan?

I think you should for now just friend the players here and work your way up to joining a clan. It's best to know more about the game first before joining a clan.

best advice would be to start playing just the regular multi player games and see if you can play a few games with a some players on a regular basis - once you played a few games with guys who are in clans maybe ask them how to join - clans have different expectations from there players - or you could just start growing your group of friends and you will no doubt find some guys who like multi campaign.

What I did is play every day, making Steam and Forum (here) fiends.
Started off playing Unranked with friends, then Ranked, then MPCs followed soon after.
