    Default Food problem=squalor?

Hey guys one question: Does squalor mean that your settlement is having a food problem?

I dont see squalor go down when you have farms ore anything like that anyways?:S
And in history, if the citizens didnt have food they would start rebell pretty easy, most of all riots where food problems...(in roman times anyway from what ive read)
So, if i got wrong on first question, why not make the health problem to a minium and put "to little food" ore "starving" as the biggest negative public order thing?=P
You have a certain mentality, a "you vs them" and i know it is hard to see, but it is only your imagination which makes up enemies everywhere. I haven't professed anything but being neutral so why Do you feel the need to defend yourself from me?. Truly What are you defending? when there is nobody attacking?

The squalar problem is a like mystery it's almost impossible to lower it down even if food, happiness and health buildings are at the peak. One way is to go in too the description_building file and mod it yourself.

Meh, modding only messes the game up
But ive noticed that when squalor becomes really high, ure bound to get a plague, so im gessing that its health of some sort..

Squalor is poor housing and sanitation cramped conditions etc. One way to lower squalor is to build baths and aqueducts

    Then its just unrealistic then
Unhealth was not at all as a big of public happiness as starving people...

Building farms and the like will only add to the squalor problem. Food is not a factor in RTW/BI. Population is the squalor driver. So after you build each level, as the population rises, squalor increases. Each level of farm adds 0.5% to population growth. So the net effect: build a farm, add squalor... And public health structures don't reduce squalor, they improve health (yes, that seems odd, but don't blame me, I didn't write the game rules.)

I believe that farms only help you with your population and your trade. I've noticed that with better farm systems in certain settlements I have better harvests. Also, with better availability of food my settlements can support more people for me to tax.

Yes, but as mentioned before, farms increase the population boom. So like it or loathe it, your higher population will create squalor. All you can do to combat squalor is build health/happiness/order buildings. They do not actually decrease squalor really, just offset it.
Personally, I rarely build more than a level 2 farm for exactly this reason.

I have same problem, i conquer many lands but after a while putting more troops in city will not help, if i let city revolt then the enemy will return with elite troop. How to combat this problem?
How many troop is needed to make city happy?
How much percent can u make city happyer with troop?
Does peasants add to public order, or does 120 axemans add the same public order as 120 peasants?
Maybe someone can make fix to disable squalor plz

If you look at this logically, squalor should decrease when you build the next level government building, after a city expands.

Why not give a small bonus with each city building level?

Actually i think it does, try not to build a higher building when you cant and the squalor will increase like hell..

Sqaulor increases as your settlement grows (population wise) and when you level up to the next settlement it goes back down by next turn.
