Avoiding the scripted siege CTD?

I need help with avoiding the script siege CTD...

I'm playing as Kislev, and I'm at my, I don't know, twelth turn? Something like that. Anyhow, I have a CTD on each third-fourth battle I play, but that's no big deal, just to restart the game and it'll work, but now I've encountered a game-breaking CTD...

It comes when the first Chaos army attacks Kislev. I can play through about half the battle, but then I get the "Unspecified error" message...

I know that I've installed correctly... I tried taking down the graphics a bit, but no difference... Please help me, I've tried three-four times... I really want to be able to continue.

This might be a workaround until the team solves this through patching.

1. load your save prior to the siege. 2. attack the A.I. (so you attacker). 3. when the battle screen comes up (where you decide to fight, autoresolve or retreat), press the "~" key to bring up console. 4. type in console auto_win attacker. 5. Close console (press ~ again). 6. choose autoresolve battle. You will automatically win the battle.

Hopefully doing the above will allow you to get beyond the CTD.

I suggest you update your video drivers 1st thing if you're still getting frequent CTD's

I was frequently getting CTD's after large reinforcement battles and always after scripted sieges with 3+ armies. These battles themselves would run fine, but crashed afterward without exception.

In my case I have a Radeon HD 4800. Updating drivers eliminated all such CTD's

weeeeeeeeeeeeally? this stopped your CTDs?

i'll try it then...

62 Turns into Reikland and no CTD after any scripted or reinforcement battle (and i've had many battles..)

Also suggest turning unit size down to normal if you get frequent CTDs after scripted battles.

This mod is very playable. Update your drivers.
