    Default Your Best General

List the traits of your best General in your current Campaign. Currently mine is Aulus Scipio the Victor, Commander of the First Legion of the House of Scipio. Faction Heir, of the age of 37.

He is known as the Gate Breaker, Handsome, he is also quite Dubious, and an Obsessional Trainer, he is Young and yet a Superior Commander, he is also known as a Conqueror.
He has been awarded a Spectacular Triumph for killing more than 10,000 Enemies of Rome, infact they've lost count of the casualties he has inflicted upon Rome's Enemies.
He is Confident in the Attack, and a Great Tactician in the Defense, his Infantry Skills are without peer, and he enjoys Farming and Pillaging.
He is Hugely Superstitious, and holds the Favour of the Gods, he is a skilled Bureaucrat, and is an Ex Quaestor, Aedile, and Praetor, he currently holds the Senatorial Office of Pontifex Maximus, and is quite the Famous Orator.

He Travels with an Herbalist, a Decorated Hero, a Carthaginian Turncoat, his favored Body Slave, a very Exotic Slave , a Heroic Savour who fought with him at the battle of Syracusae, an most recently a Barbarian Turncoat.

He currently holds the City of Segesta, in Northern Italy under orders from the Senate since the pathetic Julii couldn't take it.

My greatest general is known as Titus the Victor. He has 8 command starts, which he earned from taking all of Sicily and Cis-Alpine Gaul. He is now moving to secure the rest of Greece. He is moving to take Dyrachium(sp), Thermon, Sparta, Corinth, and of course Athens. I will leave Antagonea as a spot to train up comming generals. He has the traits of Spectacular Triump, Destroyer, and Conquerer.

He has 6 management points, and 4 influence points. He is my greatest living general, although I have had better.

My best general is the commander in chief of the whole army, leader of the Julii family, his name is Galerius Julius aka The Cunning. He has 8 command stars earned in battle commanding the famous LEGIO X: Equestris. He has participated in the conquest of Gaul, Iberia, Carthage and Illyria... his traits and loyal advisors follow...

Alot of land conquered in such a short period of time. lol Looks almost like the real western Empire. lol Faction Leaders always seem to have MANY bonuses etc, its almost like they are given to them when they become faction leader. There is a new trait that can be earned or born with and that is the Night battle trait. Whats a pain is when you are attacked by the AI who has this trait, then they will fight at night and its dark and they get the bonus! lol

Will some family members have the night battle trait from the start of the campaign? Will we earn this trait after 4 command stars like in BI? Will the AI ever attack us at night? In BI they never do

Do you think one hundred years in the campaign is too short time for my expansion I am actually taking it slow

    1. Yes faction heir, and leader start out with the trait.
    2. No I am not aware that BI gives after 4 command stars, all the triggers deal with winning or losing night battles. Anyway the AI would all be to do night battles.
    3. YES, infact they WILL attack at night EVERYTIME if they have the trait, atleast they do in SPQR, whether its the 1.5 patch or SPQR I dont know. but they do.
    4. Doesnt matter 6.0 wont be as easy to take land quickly, especially if you are using the Garrison script, which is was makes Seiges fun.

Well in the readme file of patch 1.6 they say they address this issue and they have reduced the command star requirement from 5 to 4 stars in order to get a night fight trait. Will we be able to actually earn this trait if we fight the AI at night? Will we loose it when our leader and heir die?

Does it mean we won't be able to field big army groups (like 6-10) legions? That's actually something I quite enjoy in SPQR will we have money for that

Um well you cant have that many if you dont have the money to support it. lol Basically the Money is not as plentiful as it was in 5.0, this is because Resources are less in the new map than in 5.0. This also means you'll have to make tough choices between what buildings to build. Yes you have chance to get the ability if you win a battle at night, but if you faction leader dies and heir you will have to wait until one is born with the trait or you happen to fight the AI at night and win.

I have several awesome generals. Unfortunantly, my second best lost a legendary eagle during a battle with the senate where he was cornered with only 1000 men against 6000, and now he has a -2 morale penalty and -4 something esle.

    Its quite sad
