Default 0 turn campaign and HA's.

I played Parthia and tried recruiting stacks of HA's, and the result was, a cheap(upkeep), unstoppable force in just 2-3 turns.

I could defeat stack after stack and take city after city with just a stack of 100 upkeep HA's.

I think that they need to take 1 turn to recruit for both AI and Human players.

They'll spam HAs really fast regardless if it's 1 or 0 turn. The most basic HAs come pretty quickly in the Parthian unit tree.

Cavalry cost is low so AI will recruit them. It is true that human player can spam low cost cataphract archers and run over everything, but u must refrain urself from using such exploits.

I prefer mixing things up. I only do HA stacks for straggler/moronic enemy officer with 8 units or less armies hunting.

I also mix. Using just one or two units that is far more effective than other units in an army loses my intrest in the game very quickly.

3 units of Archers, maybe a skirmisher into the mix
    1-3 units of HA maybe
2-4 units of Heavy Cav, from medium to elite quality
1-2 Javelin Cav into the mix just so my army isn't OP
Rest are Infantry of different sort. Usually only 1 elite infantry unit per army.

Pure HA armies are just not the kinda armeis that entertain me for too long.
