    Default Your Greatest Conquests.

Just curious, what has been your greatest conquests, whether it be a single battle, or if it is your entire campaign.

In my current game, I'm the SPQR, the year is 250 B.C. I generally am a mega offencive conquerer, giving the enemy virtually no chance of mounting a counter strike. In only 20 years, I've conquered all of Gaul, halve of Germania, Iberia, and have three full stacks prepairing to conquer Greece, Macedonia, and Epirus. There are only those fronts for my wars, one to the East, one to the West, and one to the North. On all fronts, I have three generals, each of which is destined for greatness. If I have till 14 A.D. to win, I think I'm a couple of centuries ahead of schedule.

    How about y'all?

Well my greatest victory has got to be conquering ankyra: 4 units of gaesatae, 2 units of skirmishers, 2 units of general leuce epos (100 men total) were defending the city. I was expecting to get my ass whooped so I bought 3 units of kappadocian (or something like that) cavalry. These units took care of the two generals, my three generals (about 70 men in total) took care of one of the skirmisher units and my 5 units of phalangati took care of the rest.

My two units of toxotai and my generals already had used their missiles on the gaesatae inflicting about 10-20 casualties.
The tide of the battle turned in my favor when my cavalry finally broke the two enemy generals (at a rather high cost, half of my men dead) and joined my generals. Charging in the back of the gaesetae: an instant rout. A heroic victory for me and another city for my kingdom.

There goes the human intellect: give them an inch, and they run a mile in the wrong direction.
