Vardek Crom - too scared to come out to play?

Any players experienced what I just have, that of the curious case of Vardek Crom not spawning?

Playing as Dwarves, I get the usual messages, 'he's coming', 'he's at the gates', 'he's brought lunch' etc etc but when I saw no sign of him and his minions I used toggle_fow and lo and behold, he is has not spawned...

Fighting VC and his horde is one of the best bits about the Dwarven campaign and I'm very disappointed he won't come out to play.

Am I just *that* lucky or is this something others have experienced?

At what turn was this. I believe he does not spawn know until chaos invasion. Which is around 64-65?

maybe he forgot the lunch and went back to get it?

I don't know what turn, 40ish. My point was if he is scripted to turn up at a set time, why am I getting these messages saying he is here and yet he's not due to turn up for another 20-odd turns?

So logically I assumed if the messages are triggering (presumably because Crom should be too) and yet Crom is not, there is an error somewhere in the script that is either 1) wrong in terms of its timing, or 2) wrong in that there is an error and he will not spawn.

Edius - "maybe he forgot the lunch and went back to get it"- maybe he did, I imagine four stacks of Chaos minions eat alot of sandwiches.

The script for this has been changed but they did not remove earlier message. He now shows up in the 50-60s turn. Before it was the 20s turn. You will get another message that he is coming and he really will be!

Ok, so Vardek Crom did spawn, just late I guess. He did not bring lunch, but after my heroic victory (what else) the famed and much feared after-battle CTD elicited a good chuckle from me, and from the Chaos gods I'm sure.

Will try gain later (sigh).

Well at least they brought you lunch

Crom shouldn't attack Karaz a Karak anyway, he should attack karak Kadrin and grimgor's army and Sylvania (and then the empire if he feels like it). Karaz a Karak should have nothing to do with him.
