you can recruit,whit the Macedon,heavy Hypaspistai from the city of Greek ( for ex Athens Corinth Thebe ecc ecc).just for protect better ur flank and have a better army

)are their Homeland heavys.I use their Katioki phalangilites, they do the job just fine.

Yup. Interesting note is that the Bottian phalangites are the same as the Asthetairoi from RTR.

It would be nice if we had an option to recruit roman gladiators from SPQR 7.0 mod.........AND if Carthage had its own version of legion troops. I know in vanila RTW you could recruit them from Carthage and Seleucid empires.

But.........why? There were no Gladiators at the mod start time, and Carthage never really lasted long enough to create a unit meant to rival the Legionary style of fighting. The Vanilla portrayal of Rome is largely fantasy and pure misconception. Plus, SPQR in all it's versions, never claimed any historical accuracy.

No space in the DMB and EDU for that w/o replacing something. And the Seleucid have the Machaiphoroi and Thorakitai while the Carthaginian have Elite Iberian troops for legionnaires.
