Wow... very nice work, it's impressive.
Maybe you have already a lot of documents and links, but if you want to have more information, you can go here :
- for french uniforms : NYPL Library
- for french flags : Vexillologie militaire européenne
The first link is a English, but the second in French
Thanks
The problem with NYPL is that you have a good knowing about uniforms to exploit those documents.
Best links I've found are in the first thread's post.
English isn't really a problem, except when I have to write something
Thanks
The first one to create such icons was Romulu$ in his patch French infantry.
They are also very easy to create.
Maybe could you use a similar system for your Spanish units ?
Yes, could be , i knew the Romulus icons... I have plates with the original spanish uniforms and i don´t know, put the plates, the flags, the coat of arms...
What about french sepoys?
i like so much these uniforms... actually i am working with hipothetical spanish sepoys.
Great work, monsieur! +rep when i can.
I've use the French East India Company Coat of Arm for Company's unit (Bussy's Army) because I've no informations about theirs flags.
If you're interesting in some 3Dmodels, you can use them.
Beautiful, so glad to see people working on the French units!
I was going to say I like your new icons, but prefered them squares like those of Romulu$. Appears you already know his thread. Wouldn't be more interesting to have square icons like him? I mean, after all, these are flags you are using for the icons. It makes sense and plus, it doesn't cut the edges of the flags.
Anyway, great work with the models. The colonial units are not easy to make, firstly, because we don't know that much about them, and secondly because they need new geometry kits... I think they need some more work and diversities. Here if it's any help, some more informations and pictures for your colonial units, to give their more realism (I know some of them are units or colors from after the 7 years war):

Ponytail?? I demand Compensation!
Really nice, +rep Lordsith!
@162eRI : This mod time line is 1756-1763 (Seven Years War), dedicated colonial infantry regiments were developed after this period (and mostly as a consequence of the war and colony loses).
I have to give substance to Americas' French colonial roster (militia, native auxilaries).
On the other side, I've planed to develop late XVIIIth century (both Monarchy and Republic) after this mod will be release. I suppose Flikitos will add them to his T2H mod.
@Lordsith : Nice units You can use any models from this mod (Nec Pluribus Impar) if you want to work with. They are in the download thread (WIP - Nec Pluribus Impar - French models)
