yeah but he's speaking of trust... then millions of gamers are at risk.
well there will be a lot of people downloading it i think and even on normal occasions steam sometimes goes down to 0kb for about half an hour without any clear reasons, but maybe its just me (even though i dont think thats likely as my internet is pretty fast)
Whatever time Steam etc quotes as the demo being released, do not expect it to be released dead on time, they rarely if ever give GMT times either (hopefully CA will do that)
even if it is released on time, if a lot of people are waiting for it the download servers are probably going to be under a high load, but you should still be able to get very good speeds
Im thinking the demo will be 1-2gb maybe more, should be able to get the demo pretty quickly even if a lot of people are downloading, its not like a game release day when tens of thousands are downloading

WHy do these companys put a gb limit?
Never heard about any gb limits before...
There is a trick that I've had some 'moderate' success on with downloading large files from Steam:
Change your region. Its enabled me to download at much higher rates, at least some of the times.
Forward, march!
Changing your region does work quite well, when i was downloading the empire demp (i think) i changed it to uganda (I actually live in the uk) and my download speed shot up
How many turns will the demo last?
i m curios can t we download the Demo from another place?
just downloaded Victoria II trough steam and i wanted to throw the PC out the window )
seriousley if the download speed is extremley low with this not very popular game, with Shogun 2 all thank god if it would go over 10 kb
Shame steam,shame...
Never heard of a limited demo before, sounds like a retarded thing to do.
i think that you can only play for 10 turns or something similar.
