BackgroundThe Home of the adopted brother of Gaius Julius Septimus, Flavius Julius Constantinus was an able man, much like his adoptive father. Born of Patrician blood, he had never known his mother after he was 10 years of age, as she died of disease suddenly. Since Constantinus became of age, he has served with Septimus in many campaigns, and he is often called upon to aid his adoptive brother in both political and military matters. After the bloody fighting in Spain, Constantinus returned to Rome and settled down, enjoying the high life of a military officer and patrician.. He is 30 years old at the time, and while nearly as old as his brother, their relationship is one of elder brother-younger brother.
About the Domus The Domus of Constantinus was very modest in appearance externally, but still something befitting of a Patrician. He lived alone, served only by one trusted slave. Inside the atrium, a visitor is greeted by an exotic garden, perhaps the nicest room in the house, far more lavish then the mans own chambers. From the looks of things, the man was much like his father, but still trying to make a name for himself. Busts and statues of generals and senators were in abundance, but unlike many other Romans, there were statues of men like Alexander, Pericles, Thamisticles, Leonidas, and many other greek and eastern items. No doubt belonging to his biological father and passed on, the man clearly had an appreciation for the rest of the world, not your usual infatuation with Rome. Inside in one corner, there was a mantle displaying a fine piece of greek Linthorax, plated with scales for added protection, a plumed attic-style helmet, ornate greaves, and a elaboratley decorated Hoplon shield and Doru. Clearly worn, and used often as there was clearly much attention given to the items. Perhaps a relic from the past somehow aquired by the family?
About the man... Flavius Julius Constantinus, known simply to his friends and aquaintences as Constantinus, was a modest man, sharing many qualities of his adopted brother. However rather than prancing around with the nobility, Constantinus was known to frequent the forum, the markets, the baths, and even had numerous close friends who served with him in the army under him that he had grown fond of. A patrician officer friends with lowly Principes, a rare sight, but so it was. Bustling with youth and vigor, He was known to throw many social gatherings, more worried about the fun his guests would have than the "proper" procedures. He also tended to frequent many taverns and gatherings of other men, but not yet the magistrates. However, he has begun cleaning up his act as it were with his adoption and desire to appease both his deceased father and adoptive father. However unlike his adoptive father, his religious and political ideals are unknown to everyone...
