    Default Science project

Hey, I'm thinking about doing elecrolysis of water, and I was wondering what would be the best matierial to use as the anode and cathode(I'm probaly not using the correct terms). Basically, I want something that won't just rust away, but is cheaper than platinum.

Another thing, which is a bit more important to me. Does anyone know where I could legally get some sulphur hexaflouride?

Copper should be fine for a science project. Your not doing it for academic research. You should also be able to use pencils since the graphite core would be electrically neutral. If necessary, you can also add electrolytes to the water so that you don't need a strong battery.
