Serves me right
Playing Pergamon I took the pontus capital in a rather risky move, anyhoo I was attacked by a full stack, it was obvious that I would lose, soooo i lined my men up, in the battle I destroyed one siege tower and one ram, one tower made it to the wall, so the battle over the siege tower was underway I decided to be sneaky, hoping to give myself an advantage by 'breaking the AI' I charged my cavalry into most of the ladders and rams, this worked, their advance was stalled, the only movement on their side was some dispaced troops running for the siege tower .After i had beaten the troops back on the tower nothing happened (Anti - Climax warning) literally nothing at all, I tried my best to tempt them into range of my stone towers with some success eradicating 3 units completely, but then it seemed that they couldn't be tempted nearer at all.
I charged directly into their troops (archers n'all) and It was a slaugter, My brave king died via pointy stick.
Lessons learned - 1. don't auto-resolve your way into taking the enemy capital
2.don't try and mess with the AI (tooo much)

Yes It does, learn to play better.Oh and the AI is so incompetant that you can conceivably blitz them into oblivion within a few turns.
