Even without a faction list, you can be quite safe with going with Bulgaria, Byzantium, Turkey, Albania... (ok, scratch that last one before White Hand gets any ideas ) ... plus battle tracks, as Mind already said (unless they're covered by the faction-specific ones).

It would be nice if every faction had some own battle tracks...

Yeah. Well, maybe not every faction, but at least every culture. Otherwise, it would be awkward if you're a Wallachian, fighting the Hungarians, and some Turkish battle march is playing.

The thing is ... im not gonna put time into it unless the guys need/are interested into doing it.
So in other words, if they do let me know that the specific/faction tracks are needed i wont continue researching and figuring related stuff out.

    So yea

Guys , let me know if you need this.

    ok here are some compilations

For now only for Valahia and Serbia, i will work on more if there is success with those here.
The tracks which are bunched together are folklore or folklore inspired and obviously fitting in a medieval context. The desired target is to have enough audio material to give each and every faction that 'belonging' feel. In other words, if i were a greek (for example) the music in this mod should contribute at making me even more attached to the faction which represents my ancestors

In adition, there is a sugested mod-intro.This track is one of my favorite marches , so if you dev peeps like it - use it up.

So listen carefully ,check them out and of course let me know what the sugestions are.

I don't know how faction-accurate they are (some of the Wallachian ones seem quite Renaissance-like), considering I'm not too familiar with Romanian and Serbian folk music (or even pop-folk, thank goodness), but I like them quite well for what they are.

You are right about the part which is in fact a year ~1500 type of music.
The relative issue with putting together a compiled file for a particular faction is the fact that sepparate tracks can be quite distinct relative to one another. It was then needed to do some ' blending' so that not every track ' jumps at you' .

As for the accuracy, believe me they can't get any more accurate than this.
We have to keep in mind we are dealing with medieval times and with distinct cultures within those times and besides the relious aspect it is folklore that makes those factions what they are.

I'm not doubting the accuracy, just said I can't know it, since I'm not familiar with them.
Otherwise, if you decide to give it a try with Bulgaria as well, send me a PM and I can show you plenty of Bulgarian folklore examples.

This (or this for ottoomans) is kind of music I want on the strat map. Deep, ambient.

I know that everybody wants their national folklore tracks. But choose them wise. Please.

Ok gotcha ... this is even easier.
But again just to make sure, you do NOT want any folklore in this mod but rather ambiental tracks just as the examples you gave right ? ( obviously they would have to sorta match the faction anyway )

    Let me know

Ah and another question, will you actually be using sepparate sets of tracks for each individual faction or a single set for all ?

    let me know

Oh and another thing, --> This is psalm 51 interpretation of the Roman Catolic.Beside that , it is also used in Civ4 i would guess it could fit for the Catholic factions involved but then ... this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IomxvOTf-So or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fkz_G8Q9vcI <-- psalm 50, while they are Astonishingly beautiful and simply Godly i would think that we should refrain from using such music into a game ... is a game after all and in those songs there is praise brought to God, should not be used lightly.

For the strat map (not the battle one), I want some nice ambiental, chilling music. Nothing too aggressive. Those "aggressive" tracks are for battle maps.

Well, from this tracks that I posted its obvious that the ottomans will have their own tracks. So yes, every faction different tracks.
