trouble installing

Hi I'm trying to install RSII right now,and I've run into a problem. First though:

- What OS do you use?

Windows 7 I think

- What version of RTW do you use?

What do you mean? I have BI,ALX,and vanilla all of which are patched up.

- Are you using steam or not?

No.

- Install path

C:\Users\Max\Documents\Rome - Total War

- Which launcher option have you used (exe, faction etc)

exe I think


Anyway whenever I try to start the installation this pops up:

Source file not found: C:\RSII\RS21.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Then it asks me if I want to retry or cancel.

Any help will be appreciated.

What have you downloaded and to where? You should have 5 files, RS2.msi which is the installer and then 4 other files, RS21.cab, RS22.cab RS23.cab and RS24.cab. These should all be in the same directory and not the RTW, I'd suggest something like c:\users\max\temp or something like that, create it, put them there then run the MSI file. You need to point the installer at C:\Users\Max\Documents\Rome - Total War when it asks for the installation location. If the cab files are in with the msi then check the permissions.
