Why would you want to do that if you could just play the mod with the total campaign being better and more historically accurate??

You can, technically, but it is difficult.

I would suggest you check out RTRE I think you will find this is what you are looking for but with oh so much more.
Once you have tried that, I would then suggest (if you have Barbarian Invasion) TIC, FOE and EXRM
Go for the modfoldered versions so that you can have all these mods together.

Yes thanks for telling me that Clearchus of Sparta... I tried all this things... But i only asck if is possible... Or is some of pack on this site or internet,if enyone know that you yust switch army and play in that map like RTW and have the same bildings,factions... Yust army to change... Only ascking.... Is somebody is good and send me right files to switch army from RTR to normal RTW...
Its quite a complicated procedure.
There are models, textures, and sprites to consider, then you need to alter the export_descr_units file. Units must then be recruitable from the export_descr_buildings file and finally the correct descriptions need to be added. Oh and then comes the joy of balancing units so that have the correct attributes when combared to the other units in the game.
However, your best bet is to look in the mod workshop forums where Im pretty sure you will find a tutorial on adding units to a game.

as CC said it is technically possible, but difficult. simply because no one before you seems to have wanted to use historical units in ahistorical settings, which is what vanilla RTW is. therefore a readymade solution does not exist.
what you can do is d/l the mod whose units you like and replace them manually in the RTW folder after going through a tutorial on 'how to introduce new units in a RTW based game'.
If you want to add all RTR units to Vanilla would be quite a feat. Assuming you want to do it with RTR6 or ExRM to Vanilla (because those mods cover all the area and more of Vanilla), you have to replace the export_descr_units, descr_model_battle and text/export_units file (and perhaps descr_mounts as well) in Vanilla with that in ExRM or RTR6. Then you have to re-write the recruitment in export_descr_buildings so that you can recruit all the new units, and as important, not recruit the old ones (as that will cause a CTD on startup). Then you have to re-write descr_strat so that there are no old units in there either and only new ones (and the right new ones). Then you have to re-write descr_rebel_factions as well. And you have to change things around a bit, as RTR6 does not have 3 Roman factions, whilst Vanilla does.
So in essence, it is possible, yes, but I do not recommend you try, because you will still be trying many months from now.

Because Maurits the vanilla campaign has a very unique feel that no mod has captured. For example the Roman civil war as portrayed through three factions. That adds tons to the overall experience, even with a lot of the inherent flaws in vanilla.![]()
I used to do that by giving all roman factions the same units/skins etc. Feels more civil war rather than green, blue, purple and red Romans fighting each other.
ANother option is to add Senate to RTR Platinum. Was done before I think. Or maybe was for RTR Gold or ealier version.
