I attacked a small rebel stack just outside my capital. Since it was close, it should be morning when battle starts, right?

In any case, when the battle started, the sun was not visible in the sky, but my soldiers were illuminated on one side.

Then the weird part:

After a few moments of battle, the shadows began to move, becoming shorter, as if the sun was rising. But immediately after that, night fell and it became really dark.

I know there's another bug about nights being too dark, but this is different. the shadows should grow long before sunset, not short, and nightfall should occur at the end of the moment range, not at the beginning.
