Default How can God be disproven(in a believer's opinion)?

Many debates have come and go in the Ethos, yet members still stick to their beliefs no matter what. Me, being an atheist, believe that Science alone can disprove God, because after all if God becomes an object that needs to proven, it's not even a hypothesis. So I'd like to know how believers think how God can be disproven. I'm not picking a fight here.

But Santa Claus is not real. Even the most stupid kids would understand that. But God is different.

But you can't ever prove a negative. If something isn't there there will be no evidence for whatever it is you want to investigate.

You can prove a negative precisely by that method. There is a desk in between me and my door, I can use any number of means to discover if there is a desk or not. If I walk directly to my door and do not see or bump into a desk, it is not there. Proving a negative is a simple process and we do it all the time, its not however the responsibility of science to take an assertion and discover if it is true or not. It is the responsibility of the one asserting it to prove it through scientific means. However God, being metaphysical, is not within the bounds of science to prove or lack information to find. The most you can determine through science is to use it as a means of background information to answer weather God is likely or not. I.E through science we can look at teleological questions, but thats as far as it goes.

Santa Claus is a story that a lot of people have in common, we do stuff because of that story. There is no need for physical "proof" of SC since the consequenses of the story have an impact on the physical world. If SC does not exist then the idea of a building in the head of an architect does not exist either.
Oh and what is with the pasta from the earlier threads.

Obviously Santa has either magical abilities or technology beyond our understanding. See, you'll just make up attributes that will make it possible for Santa to do whatever we want him to. It's very similar to God who often in debates starts as a being with personality and human characteristics who influences our lives in direct ways, and ends up being a more and more vague concept that is showed outside the Universe and space/time.

My holy book The Night Before Christmas provides all the evidence I need. I also have faith in all those things.

Serves the same purpose and has the same lack of evidence and logic behind it.

It's a non-falsifiable hypothesis, as Helm said, science can't disprove Santa Claus. It is feasible that, if you knew everything, you could safely say God did not exist, because you know everything and you know he doesnt exist.
    Wait a sec
You know everything, you are therefore omnipotent and are therefore God yourself

This sentence makes no sense. Science can disprove God because if Gods an object it cant be a hypothesis? Wtf?

Disproving God would be showing there is an incoherence in the attributes assigned to God. i.e God is omnibenevolent but there is evil.

Ok, my bad there. Let's treat him as an object, not necessarily an object.

Uh, no, lets not. Your radically transforming the notion of God so as to ham fistedly force it within the purview of science, which as already shown still cant disprove God. The most it could say is, we dont have enough information to say there is a God.

You can prove whatever it is you're looking for isn't in the place you're looking but that's not quite the same thing as proving whether or not something exists in the general sense. So far we haven't found God or Santa Claus anywhere.

Again, you can. Incoherence in the assigned attributes, lack of effect relative to what it is suppose to cause, etc. Literally anything can be disproven, the only question is A) Feasibility [too tiny, too far off, effect meant to too immeasurable for anyone to actually realistically undertake the task, though it IS possible to do] B) Who's job is it?
