Help: Bug, kick to

Hello,

Sorry i don't know where to post this so i try it in here

My problem is:

I have Medieval2 gold edition(normal+kingdoms expansion)
When i start playing on one of those games, i get "kicked" every 4/5 minutes to my desktop.
I can click on the game at the bottom bar, and continue playign but it takes around 20 sec (because of teh loading) everytime and those secs are often fatal when playign total war
It happends at any moment, even when i am watching the intro, playing mulitplayer and even campgain and tutorial

I think its something between my computer (radeon, windows 7) and tgame itself

Oh and what shoudl i play first, theh expansion or the "normal" game (medieval2 without expansion), i have both
I wanne play england, but i dont get what to do first..

Do you receive an error message when this happens? I don't think you do....

Now if I'm reading your post right the game is not actually crashing but for some reason it minimizes to the desktop which forces you to switch back to it. Am I correct?

Do you have a wireless keyboard? If so have you updated the drivers for it?

Lastly, this should be in the M2 Tech forum. I'll ask a Mod to move it there for you. Good luck!

Yes I thought the same. I have had this minimzing happen infrequently but it seems to be related to antivirus or another pc scan program. try disabling if you haven't already.

Use Game Booster to shut down any unneeeded programs.

and it can be a wireless keyboard. Have you tried it with a PS2 or a USB keyboard?

No problem. Just do some housecleaning first.

Did you just install Win 7? If so, did you install the motherboard chipset drivers for it?

Just to be sure - you're not hitting a key combo like Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Esc or hitting the Windows key by accident are you? Just checking....

I bought a computer with all in, programmed and ready, so i have no idea

The reason for the question is the only sound drivers showing up are Microsoft's generic ones. Did they supply a motherboard install cd?

Why Win 7 32bit with 4 gig of ram? 32bit systems only see about 3.2 gigs of it. This game runs great on 64bit because I do it.

Have you run Windows Update manually, yet, and istalled all software options? Autoupdate does not do it and I have mine set notify only.

Your graphics drivers need to be updated www.amd.com.

I'm very busy in real life, so im gonne put this away for some days.
But it seems that the problem is happening less often (aroudn 15 min now) so its getting better, although i have no idea why..

Btw, with what game should i start (i'm now doing grand campagin medieval 2)
The normal game medieval 2 or the kingdoms expansion or must i even download a new mod?

And anyone knows how reatraining exactly works?
If i retrain like 20 archers i get 20 better archers (trained, with new armour upgrades) but i get no new units.
How do i get my troops at 100% (60 archers as example) back?
And how do i get my personal bodyguard form my generals at full strength back?

Tell me if i have to open a new topic, this are a lot of questions

Go through a vanilla Grand Campaign first just to get a feel of the game. Play one of the Kingdoms campaigns to see the additions to it. Then, go through the mods to your hearts content.
