Yes Dominion of the sword has one just thought it would be kinda cool

ok ill start I am welsh, greek, and italian. The welsh all I know is that they were business men who hit hard times and came to America via Ellis Island (I think). The greek and Italian I know more about the Italians came over from being declining nobility in Italy in the 1870s. The greeks lived in Constantinople until I think like the 1600s and then moved to Mistra after that in I think the 1790s to Boston.

Im French, Dutch, Polish and Lithuanian. My French ancestors were here in America in the 1700s some fighting in the civil war. My dutch grandmother was adopted so all I dont know much other than her nationality. My grandfathers grandfather came to america from poland with his Austrian wife in the early 1900s. I am still researching into my Lithuanian heritage.

I'm Scottish, German, Irish (I think?) and god knows what else.

I had a German great grandfather who came to Glasgow shortly after the 1st World War.. they called him Kaiser I think his family name originated in Bavaria. Strange thing was his son (my grandfather) fought in the 2nd World War for the British.

I had an Irish grandmother or great grandmother but I have lost touch with that side of my family and my Scottish ancestors, half were from the Highlands and the other half Roxburghshire. My mother and father are both Scottish as is my son and my girlfriend is Polish.

Hmm well, I'm half-Armenian, and part German/Irish/English. In fact, this guy is my great-great-great uncle... not sure if I have any famous ancestors on my German side.

I am 100% Sicilian. On my father side, the family reaches back to Norman-Swabian times. The family was given Baronies for being the bulwark of the Sicilian monarchy in Frederick II's minority. I guess they protected Sicily with their private armies, at their own expense, and later accompanied Frederick to Germany, where he claim ed the German crown. We survived all the tumults and invasions intact. They held titles of Baron, Marchese, and in 1625 we were made Dukes, and Grandees of Spain. but primogeniture sort of got in the way.....

Recently, I have been in contact with a fellow from another branch of the family, who are from southern Italy. We are Marino, and his branch is called MastroMarino. They were Imperial Vicars, and Grand Marshall of Sicily in Frederick II's time.

He tells me that the Sicilian branch of the Marino family went to Genoa, from southern Italy where we were part of the Byzantine/Lombard nobility, and descended from Marinus the Greek of Naples (who was of an ERE imperial family).

I am guessing that the Marini clan married into the Genoese Visconti family. The Visconti were installed as Viscounts of Genoa around 950 by Otto I.

Tradition tells us that the Genoese DeMarini are an offshoot of the great Spinola family, so it is possible that the Caetani branch of the Marino family married into the Spinola family to form the Genoese DeMarini clan.

Cool stuff. I am in the procees of writing a book on the family history. I recently also discovered that Luis Marin (Luigi Marini) who was an important figure in Mexico, under Cortes, is connected to the Genoese branch.

On my mothers side, we are pure Sicilian going back to Greek times (ethically speaking.). Her family also has nobility in Sicily, and even extending to Malta.

    Sorry for rambling on

I'm entirely Chinese, as far as I know anyway

Supposedly either my great-great or great-great-great grandfather was a very high ranking official in the Qing dynasty, so my Grandfather was born into a prestigous and well off gentry family, though he's the son of the concubine, that and his father threw away much of the family assets (not to meantion his life) on opium (thanks, British East Indy Company) . and my grandfather went from a well off kid to an apprentice in a Chinese medicine shop in Shanghai when he was around 12 years old.

He did ok in Shanghai though, helps that he's one of the rare people amongest the working class that was completely literate. He established himself as a small member of the workers union in Shanghai... which of course means he's a Commie target when China blewup in 1949. out of some luck both he and my grand mom and most of their kids got to Taiwan in one piece. and that's basically where we've been at since.
1180, an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity in East Asia, it's technology and wealth is the envy of the world. But soon conflict will engulf the entire region with great consequences and lasting effects for centuries to come, not just for this region, but the entire known world, when one man, one people, unites.....

Primarily Volga German with a hint of Irish . My Volga German Side is traced too Meissen where we were nobles with a COA. I plan on heading there some day and investigating this a little further.

On my father's side we are mostly English, with a bit of Irish, and a chunk of Scottish.
My ancestor, Sir William Phips (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Phips) was my father's ancestor of "renown". We are descended from his younger(?) brother John(I think that's his name), since he had no children of his own.
Those two were from a family that had a lot of holdings in Ireland (but they weren't Irish), and their cousin
branch were Marqueses of Normanby, and a few were Lord Chancellors of Ireland.
The Irish married in recently; my grandmother's maiden name was "Burke", and her family traces back to Cork.
The Scottish is just known to be there, deep in the roots.

On my mother's side, I've got French, more English, mostly German, and some Portuguese, and who know's what else. We are descended from a horse thief from the Wild West, which is kind of comical.
My German side is believed to be from the area around Konigsburg, and they moved after World War I to actual Germany, which suggests they were Prussian German.

The ancestors from my dad's side are nearly entirely Irish (in fact, his father was 100% irish). There is also some german on that side of the family I believe.

On my mother's side, there is some Irish along with a lot of english and scottish blood (William Wallace is one of my ancestors ) in addition to some Isle of Man and German blood.

I'm like, 1/4 Norwegian, 1/4 German (the combination explains my insane amounts of stubbornness), and the rest is a mix of Scots-Irish, British (Saxon), and a wee bit of Cherokee (Native American). My name is supposed to have come around in Northern Saxony from Norway (A Norsemen must have settled in the area) and the family eventually became a highly respected noble family. Ironically, [at least part of] the family moved back to Norway sometime during the medieval ages, and the current prime minister of Norway shares my last name
