Just looking for some suggestions.

1st question related to the stats for Horse Archers - specifically , Lithuanian and Cossack Cavalry -- in my mind they should be of lower quality than Varidotria (sp? the byz elites) and Hungarian Nobles, but still a significant step up from the lower Horse Archers available to Russia/Poland.

In my game, the Varditoriesd and Hun. Nobles have a missile attack of 8 and a secondary of either 8 or 9 I forgot. But, they also have good 'mental' stats. Where as the Lith and Cossacks have lower mental stats. Currently, I've left the Cossack/Lith cavalry at missile attack of 7 and melee of 6 -- they cost a little less in upkeep and recruit than the elite HA's , but is that enough of a difference? If I gave them missile attack of 8, and melee of 7 -- would their lower mental stats make them at enough of a disadvantage when facing Hun. Nobles / Varidtories or other simillar elite HA's ? Low grade HA's have missile attacks of 6, melee of 3-4 depending, and low mental stats comparable to Lith or Cossack.

I'm just looking for a way to make the two units better enough to use them over Kazaks and Gretzkies (polish shooters) -- but still out classed by the elites.

Other questions is that, in the mod I'm playing I've changed a lot of things - stats, costs, building abilities, new units -- so it's a lot different than it's basic release. However some things in the mod make the AI recruit mroe of it's deadly units -- more Cavalry and more heavy inf. I'm pretty sure the AI just bases it's armies off of Cost and availability - so it will just pick the most expensive units available in a settlement, and then the next most expensive when that runs out.
I'm noticing that the Arab factions, AI are recruiting TONS of cavalry -- a standard moorish army has like 6-7 arab cavalries in it and maybe 3-4 granada jinettes, and better units later on in campaign. I like the challenge but , I'm thinking one of the reasons is that I've allowed them to recruit Arab Cavalry from Race Tracks (not default in mod),, it has for basic race tracks .. 0.3 and then 2 max available. the upgrade tracks have 0.3 2 max and 2 experience... IF I make the max available '1' will it cause a decrease in the number of cav I see recruited? or should I change both replenish and max available?
