I'm a big fan of the "every unit a general" idea. That was one of the elements of Shogun/Medieval that I've really missed.

Uhm may I ask what are the transition options for everyfaction? For example with the generic name of Persia you mean the Great Seljuqs followed by the Khwarezmian empire?

Updated first post with all transitions (61 transitions, 58 factions total due to some duplicities).

AFAIK they are the Rebel faction. So they own all lands not owned by one of the other factions.

Exactly and that is quite a lot. Far too many to list tbh. What we've done though is assign regionally unique rebel stacks for spawning (these are what the engine uses when you have a rebellion). So for instance, in Wales, instead of just brigands etc you'll get something representing the Kingdoms of the Welsh such as Gwynedd and Powys. So you would have a fully stratified army led by nobles.

Thank you, with all those transitions I see how epic is this mod.

what about events like the dlv.(organise feast in the capital and many more it has
When a nation forgets her skill in war, when her religion becomes a mockery, when the whole nation becomes a nation of money-grabbers, then the wild tribes, the barbarians drive in... Who will our invaders be? From whence will they come?”

I think he meant to ask if there will be special events - like tournaments, bad harvest, pirates raiding your trade routes. Like Deus Lo Vult (DLV).

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, you call them DotS-events, right?

    yes

also dlv has very good event when you start your game to costumise your game like chosing ai to be extreme aggressive or less aggressive

Actually the answer is no to those random events. Events whose sole purpose is to randomly drain player's treasury are just stupid and frustrating. I think however that if enough people really needed harder and more unpredictable game in DotS (I have to wonder why) then sub-mod will eventually be created.

Thanks for the transitional factions list. I'm pretty sure who a couple of the left-out ones are...
Anyway I always thought it would be good for there to be a transition option for England as a union with France - don't know what your thoughts on this are though.

No idea what that would be based on really. The conflict between the two was a) French king claimed that English kings are his vassals since they were originally Dukes of Normandy -> First Hundred Years War b) English kings claimed themselves as kings of France because of marital relationships and dynastic change on French throne -> Second Hundred Years War. There was pretty much nothing more to it hardly justifying any transitions.

PS. The transition list is in fact complete. What do you think is missing?

I thought that Novgorod could turn into Muscovy - that's the only one I can think of off the top of my head actually.
Sorry if this is badly worded or confusing - I've had a long day so it's difficult to get all of my thoughts into order!
However surely the long standing rivalry within France between the rulers of both England and France - dating back to the rivalry of the Normans and the Capetians in northern France warrants some representation. For example, Henry V came close to uniting the two lands, and it cannot be denied that the connexion between the two nations was particularly strong during the Middle Ages.
