Hello guys

Basically as you can see they run around like crazy and no matter what i do they do not go where i want them to be. How this can be fixed? Thanks.

This happens rarely...
it seems the affected units looses totally cohesion...
This is a vanilla RTW bug and is nothing which can be fixed...ignore it...its really happen only once in a lightyear
restarting the game should avoid it for further battles although the current affected battle seems not fixable as far as I remember.

Thank you for a clear answer. Just i have experienced exactly same thing with Pergamon in 1st battle. And now here... meh
I used to see this in M2TW - it was caused by, strangely enough, using a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard. I've no idea why it caused a problem (would also see odd behaviour with right clicking in excel menus) but by using a wired mouse the problem went away. If you have both wireless, any chance you can try a wired mouse?

Ive noticed it when I seige a town my light axilliaries( unually only 1 unit) will run amok in the open field rather that attack....happen once every few battles....
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." John Stuart Mill
English economist & philosopher (1806 - 1873)
According to meh, this only happens when having a siege battle on un-walled settlements. I just try to avoid those if possible.
I might be wrong tho.

I have only ever experienced this with a barbarian faction. The Belgae and the Germans. Also it only affected the skirmishers.
I always seem to encounter this bug when assaulting the rebel settlement in Crimean Peninsula. It has happened me two times, on two different playthroughs![]()
Yes, I have seen this with my missle units when I play as the romans (I want to say they were barbarian mercs...) Anyway, try issuing a 'stand and fight' order along with 'tight' formation. That should get them back in line.
